So, the big question pondered on the trail this weekend: What makes one a "hiker?" If I walk to the top of the mountain, am I hiker? Or a walker? Am I a hiker if I strap on a backpack? And only a lowly walker if I go bare? What if I carry those dopey hiking sticks am I a hiker then? (Or just dorky?).
This question remained unresolved all weekend.

Similarly, what makes one a musician, or an artist?
I was once told you were running when going at an 8 minute/mile rate or faster. Slower than that and you were a jogger. Nonetheless, I always referred to myself as a "runner."
