Our dog Ranger (14 years old) is being treated for Lyme Disease. That was the diagnosis after we noticed her sudden lack of interest in hiking over Labor Day.
And suddenly she's become incontinent. She wets herself and the floor as she's laying there. I don't know if it's a side effect of her medication or just her age. It's sad, as she has always been fastitidious about that and if she had a (rare) accident she would always look guilty. Even if our other dog had an accident she will look guilty. She seems totally unaware now of her problem.
I've called the vet...meanwhile, I don't know what to do. She always lays by my side as I work...but I probably should move her to an uncarpeted area.
