Hey Scott, You are about the 50th person to mention Eva Cassidy to me (either directly or indirectly) in the past few years. But I finally took the four minutes to listen and WOW! I teach a cabaret class at CHAW and I always tell people NEVER to sing that song (a few other songs too) unless they have something to add, but this is the exception I was talking about that defines the rule. I've been meaning to buy some of Eva's CDs. Guess I've always felt like "what's the hurry?" since she's been sadly gone since I ever heard her name. But this will make me hurry up. Also got to know Nancy LaMott posthumously and have covered a few songs written for her or that I first heard performed by her.
