I don't talk about my love for bluegrass as much as I talk about my love for rock & roll, but the fact is that it just doesn't get much better than Earl Scruggs and "Foggy Mountain Breakdown".
Can you recommend a good CD or other songs? I like instrumental bluegrass more than vocal (I listened to the Bluegrass station on Sirius over the holidays, it seems all the songs are about the same thing, a guy who lost his wife/girlfriend because she either died, cheated on him or went to prison.)
Love that "Foggy Mountain Breakdown"! Better than coffee in the morning. Thanks for the post, Scott. Was that Vince Gill on the left playing guitar and Bea Arthur on mandolin?
If you can still find it, grab a copy of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Dirt, Silver and Gold". It's tremendous. Not all bluegrass per se, but a lot of it is and the rest of the music is pretty amazing. I've also got a great CD from a series called "Rural Rhythm" that's titled, "Banjo Collection: 25 Bluegrass Banjo Favorites". It's all instrumental and very well done. Catalog number is RHY-300, if that helps. I think I got it at Border's, but you can probably find it online.

Gilahi -- thanks for the suggestion.
Alan -- Bea Arthur, I love it! If it's her, she's shrunk about a foot.
