MSNBC Drops Imus

Reacting to the market, as defined by their advertisers and employees. Hottie NBC president Steve Capus explains why. And in case you missed it, kudos to Capus for a heartfelt, sincere interview with Keith Olbermann last night. I don't think I've ever seen a smarter, genuine performance by a corporate talking head than that, which only enhances Capus' hotness. If a clip pops up on Youtube, I'll post it.

Okay, so Imus is off of MSNBC...we still have a lot of others out there who profit from racist comments. What do we do about Mind of Mencia?

This is ridiculous! What Imus said was nowhere near the hatred that is spewed by Rap Music. I am sick of corporate America bending to the will of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. I am therefore advising that those that agree with me to utilize the same tactics. Send an e-mail to all of your contacts and have them pass it on. Tell them to
tune-out MSNBC and NBC.Do not buy any products from GE, Chevrolet, FedX, or any company that cancelled their advertisement on Imus. Further, request that Keith Olberman be fired since he was one of the MSNBC employees who stabbed Imus in the back. Although I believe Imus was a grumpy old man, his show was what it was and this is racial extortion. Bring back Imus!

I will not watch or listen to msnbc or nbc again. Get rid of the rap music and people like Rosie if Imus goes. He was Imus and no one will ever take his place. He had good guests and so what if he made a slip of the tongue. What does the University want, money? I bet if he wrote a check to the school all would be forgiven.

I totally agree that Imus should be back on TV. This whole incident has been over played in the media. Imus makes remarks about everyone. Most people take his remarks as gest and not what he believes.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are two people that not even blacks admire.
It seems to me that any time there is any comment about anything negetive about blacks it's called racism and Jackson and Sharpton jump right in to put the racism spin on it.
I will definitely not watch MSNBC any more or buy any produces from there sponsers until Imus is reinstated on the network.
I'm sure that Imus will rise above this and find another network to air his show. He is talented and fun to listen too. This whole incident is blown out of porportion and is racial extortion.
I will continue to listen to Imus on the radio and look for his show to be aired on another network.
MSNBC you've let yourselves be swayed to drop Imus from pressure of the black community. Shame on you.
