That church is a disgrace! I don't understand why it's gay parishioners would even want to be there given the pastor's (and homophobic members') position on gays. Self-loathing perhaps???
And then every Sunday, the members come in droves from OUTSIDE the District, cluttering the streets and parking lots with their cars and buses. They take funding from the District and contribute congestion wile fostering prejudice and hate.
MattyDale dear....they drive in from outside the district because they used to live here until they were displaced by gentrification. Church is all that's left of their old community. I'm not trying to excuse their homophobia, however.
Actually, I suspect part of the anger they feel towards gays is because of gentrification...after all, who are the people moving into urban neighborhoods and driving up property values? We each should go look in the mirror...
