On Saturday as you may have noticed I spent time in the Red Rock Canyon. Yesterday I spent time on the strip.Are you shocked to discover I much prefer the Canyon?
I did enjoy the Star Trek experience -- I think I had a goofy grin on my face the whole time (MattyDale and Chad, I think I may even have giggled). But the strip -- well, I don't gamble with my money and it's all about excess. I went into Ceaser's Palace and couldn't get out fast enough.
One confession: I wish I were going to be here when Bette Midler opens her show in February.

I would have been in the same place taking photographs had I been out there. I like being away from the crowds and noise. And if there's beauty to behold and capture, all the better.
